Your sexual life is intimately related to your physical and emotional well-being. Feeling good and developing positive self-esteem and body image allows your libido to soar and deepens the sexual experience.

An intimate and rewarding experience with your partner is possible and can strengthen your entire relationship. Keeping healthy in body, mind and spirit with regular medical check–ups, relationship exploration and personal growth programs (sometimes with the help of a physician and/or therapist), aerobic exercise, dietary or weight reduction, changes and vitamin and herbal supplementation are at the core of sexual health.

For those with hormonal deficiencies, this may mean hormonal or herbal supplementation. The treatment of vaginal dryness, painful intercourse and complicating medical problems, such as heavy bleeding, urinary loss and thyroid disease, should also be part of the holistic plan.
