Prenatal Care

WHEN TO CALL YOUR PHYSICIAN

  • Vaginal spotting or bleeding
  • Change in vaginal discharge
  • Abdominal cramping more than 4 times in an hour
  • Abdominal pain
  • Pelvic pressure
  • Severe nausea and vomiting
  • Fever
  • Decreased fetal movement
  • Contractions that occur 4 or more times an hour
  • Leaking of fluid from the vagina
  • Persistent/severe headache


Signs of Pre-Term Labor

  • Cramping

  • Low, dull backache (different than your regular backache)

  • Contractions

  • Pressure in lower abdomen, which comes and goes

  • A change in discharge

  • A slow leak or gush of fluid from the vagina
