Dr. Albion was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. He attended the University of Illinois at Champaign, for undergraduate studies, and graduated from The Chicago Medical School. He completed his four-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cook County Hospital, in Chicago, where he became Chief Resident in his fourth year. His gynecological experience covers the full spectrum of women’s health care, including well woman care, treatment of menopausal issues, infertility and adolescent issues and care for both high and low risk obstetrical patients. He is experienced in laparoscopic surgery, as well as traditional gynecological surgery. Dr. Albion was named in Connelly Castle’s National List of Top Doctors. Dr. Carl Cucco graduated from Dartmouth College in 1976, Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Poetry. He then attended Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at the University of Chicago in 1982.Carl founded WomanCare in 1985 and serves as the group’s President/CEO. Dr. Elyse Erlich was born and raised in the Chicago area. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and in Psychology from the University of Illinois in 1987. She completed medical school at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in 1991 and then remained there for Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, graduating in 1995. Following Residency, she became a primary teaching faculty member for the Lutheran General Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program. In May of 2004, she joined a fertility practice where she trained for nearly one year to learn the advanced treatment of infertility. Dr. Erlich is Board-Certified and a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG). She is also a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). Dr. Erlich has been named one of the “Top Doctors of Chicago” by Castle Connolly. She was named one of “Chicago’s Top Doctors” by Chicago Magazine. Dr. Erlich joined WomanCare in January, 2006. Randall C. Kahan, M.D.
Dr. Randall Kahan was born and raised in Chicago. He attended the University of Illinois for his undergraduate studies followed by the University of Illinois Medical School. Dr. Luthringshausen completed her premedical education with honors at Tulane University in New Orleans in 1992. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 1996. She stayed at Northwestern for her residency, which she completed in 2000. Peggy has worked in health care marketing, fitness centers, weight loss companies and in consulting. At WomanCare, she counsels on a variety of nutrition issues, with a special interest in women’s health, pregnancy, high cholesterol, weight management, osteoporosis and nutrition for disease prevention/wellness. Peggy is also certified in food hypersensitivity testing, which involves a blood test to determine food causes of irritable bowel syndrome, migraines, fibromyalgia and other chronic diseases related to inflammation.

Peggy keeps very busy staying on top of the latest nutrition research. She is married and the mother of two sons.

As an adolescent, Dr. Fuentes developed an interest in mental health, curious as to how people could overcome incredible adversity. Inspired by the healing traditions of spirituality and science, psychology seemed to the clear choice for a profession. He completed an undergraduate degree in psychology and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He completed his doctorate degree in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago.
Dr. Fuentes has worked with a diverse set of clients who have presented with a variety of medical and psychological problems. Currently, as an attending clinical psychologist at John Stroger Hospital he provides individual, family and group therapy, inpatient consultations and neuropsychological evaluations for adolescents and adults. Dr. Fuentes is also the Director of the first monolingual Spanish-speaking psychiatry clinic at Stroger Hospital and supervises doctoral level psychology trainees. Dr. Fuentes has presented to the Department of Homeland Security and at the United Nations International Conference due to his work with international clients and youth coping with chronic illness. He is also a part-time Assistant Professor at Rosalind Franklin University of Medical Sciences, where he teaches graduate psychology courses.

Philosophy
Dr. Fuentes believes psychotherapy requires a collaborative relationship with clients rooted in trust, genuine empathy and an appreciation for their unique cultural, physical and psychological attributes. Dr. Fuentes primarily utilizes contemporary cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic approaches to therapy in an effort to help clients adopt more effective ways to realize their unique potential as human beings, and adapt to the inevitable challenges of life. He is a firm believer that “perception is at the core of all existence” and that unfortunately, many of us tend to focus more on what we are missing rather than what we have. He uses a warm, open, honest, and humorous interpersonal style to connect with clients and help them adopt a healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle.
